On May 29 Rostov Trade and Economics College hosted a regional seminar on the agenda: "Current problems and employment solutions and Rostov Regional vocational educational institutions’ graduates’ adaptation to the labor market".

SRSPU (NPI) was represented by the leading engineer in the career planning and interaction with industries V.A. Kartashov.

The welcome speech was made by the head of the Rostov Regional vocational education department A.D. Sukhenko, the Director-General of "B-plasma" Ltd., the Skolkovo innovation center development program’s member V.M. Shipilov.

The head of the vocational training and vocational guidance department of the Rostov Regional State Employment Service Office N.V. Korobkina made a quite interesting and informative speech. She noted that the number of graduates who applied to employment centers, decreased by 15%, and today the number of job vacancies exceed the number of graduates who applied for the employment. She spoke about further vocational training, and requested the employment services’ managers to place the information about the activities held by the educational institutions on the websites of these institutions – this will help to attract more graduates. She recommended to connect a link to the "Work in Russia" portal to their websites. N.V. Korobina reminded that the employment – is our ultimate goal, and the starting point of that goal – is the vocational guidance, and this work must also be deliberately engaged. She wished success and further fruitful cooperation to the colleagues.

The seminar's plenary part was concluded by the speech of the Chief of the informational and educational support of the Investment and Entrepreneurship Rostov Region department E.S. Blaginina. Further work was continued in sections. Section 2 dealt with the current state of the regional labor market and the employment of young specialists. The participants shared experience of interaction with the employers. Before The Head of the vocational training and vocational guidance department of the Rostov Regional State Employment Service Office N.V. Korobkina were raised several critical questions. In particular, the seminar participants were interested in who was responsible for the labor market state forecasting in Rostov region.
